Welcome back to Rams up, your Los Angeles Rams podcast. We're a proud member of the Pigskin podcast network. We'll cover just about any SoCal sports team, but we're mostly about your Los Angeles Rams. I'm your host, mark. Let's get to it.
00:00:38
Welcome back RAM fans.
00:00:40
Mark from ramps up here second straight week got a really depressing podcast for the most part.
00:00:46
Really sorry to say, hey, it's not my fault.
00:00:49
I'm just the messenger here.
00:00:51
I try to put a good spin on the Rams.
00:00:54
It's just the way I'm wired, but it's getting a little more.
00:00:57
Difficult these last couple of weeks, the Rams fall 22 to 10 to the Cowboys.
00:01:03
I pegged this as being a defensive struggle, and it was.
00:01:08
The Rams defense had to go out there and win this game.
00:01:11
Let the offense do just enough against a very good cowboy defense.
00:01:15
But the things the Rams did in this game kind of blew that plan apart.
00:01:20
I was worried about Stafford getting frustrated and being the.
00:01:24
Gunslinger that he is and making ill advised throw.
00:01:28
This is more about just plays blown up in our face.
00:01:32
Stafford fumbling early in the game, giving up a scoop and score, the Rams getting a punt blocked, and hey, it was a team loss.
00:01:42
A lot of things didn't go well.
00:01:44
The offensive line continues to struggle our receivers.
00:01:47
Continue to struggle getting open, but remember this was two very good defenses.
00:01:52
We just played, but we couldn't get the running game going.
00:01:55
You can't give away points like that in a game that has all the hallmarks of being a defensive struggle.
00:02:02
Just can't have.
00:02:04
And so there we are with a losing record, two wins and three losses.
00:02:09
Thank goodness we get Carolina next week.
00:02:12
We better figure out how to win that one, get healthy, come back and beat the 49ers. So all is not lost, but still very depressing game to watch. So how do you lose a contest?
00:02:25
That has all the hallmarks of a defensive struggle.
00:02:27
You give up that strip sack.
00:02:28
Back and it touchdown on your first possession you have a punt blocked deep in your own territory. You miss a 51 yard field goal after starting a possession at the opponents 29 yard line and you get out rushed 163 yards to 38. That, in a nutshell, is how you lose a game like this.
00:02:48
I'm OK with being pressured and really struggling to move the ball down the field.
00:02:55
We actually.
00:02:56
Did have some success on offense at times, but when you put yourself in a hole like that, it's just too difficult.
00:03:02
And it may sound like I'm rationalizing a loss here, but it's one of those games where the Cowboys put the ball on the ground and we can't grab it.
00:03:11
Every time the ball got put on the ground by the Rams, there was a cowboy there to scoop.
00:03:15
It up but.
00:03:16
Cowboys outplayed us, especially their defense.
00:03:19
Our defense, really no issues.
00:03:21
Except for that one run by Pollard.
00:03:24
That was the only breakdown all day.
00:03:26
Other than that, played pretty darn good.
00:03:29
Nonetheless, the Rams fall to two and three. My prediction 23 to 13 Rams second straight week I've made that score prediction.
00:03:39
I thought this would be very similar to the 40 niner game, and it was.
00:03:43
We just made the same kind of mistakes, actually kind of worse.
00:03:45
And this one, what were my first and four keys to this game online?
00:03:49
This needs to be OK.
00:03:51
I I wouldn't say they were.
00:03:54
Might even gotten a little worse, especially in the run game, really struggling.
00:04:00
Again, really good defense, I get it.
00:04:03
Still gotta be better than this though.
00:04:06
And #2 be a little creative on offense. And you know we got 2/2 involved finally. Brandon Powell, no touches. Kendall Blanton, no targets. Allen Robinson, limited involvement. So I wouldn't say Sean McVay was successful at that. And I also said.
00:04:27
As I already mentioned, don't get frustrated, don't make silly mistakes, don't turn the ball over, don't give away points.
00:04:34
And while we failed at that miserably, like I say, statistically on paper, not a bad outing as compared to the Cowboys.
00:04:43
The Cowboys played the smart, though they didn't let us force them into mistakes. Cooper Rush, 10 for 16 for 102 yards.
00:04:52
But as I mentioned, they outrushed us by a God awful 100 yards or more.
00:04:57
Who had that first career catch? Nice to see Cooper Kupp 7 catches for 125 yards.
00:05:03
82 sacks. Jalen Ramsey had a sack, can't believe we didn't get a fumble recovery on that one, and Trell Burgess led the team with tackles, 6 tackles and two assists.
00:05:14
What does it all mean?
00:05:16
It means the Rams are in a little bit of trouble.
00:05:19
They need to respond.
00:05:21
Still gotta cut them some slack.
00:05:22
They're just so banged up.
00:05:24
Playing against the worst possible defenses to play when you're banged up on your offense.
00:05:30
Of line and we are missing receivers or receiver like Van Jefferson.
00:05:34
They can win games like this, but not by making these mistakes.
00:05:38
That pick sixes against the 49ers strip sacks for six points against the Cowboys. They can still win a lot of games with this team. They just need to be healthy and they need to clean some things up.
00:05:50
And they need to improve their play on the offensive line, and they need to be more creative on offense.
00:05:55
Can't believe I have to say that.
00:05:57
To Sean McVay and his offensive staff.
00:06:00
Hey, if you're listening, Sean, back to the drawing board.
00:06:03
Let's get this thick.
00:06:05
We'll be back in a minute with our game capture.
00:06:08
I'm going to come back after that with some additional notes on this game.
00:06:13
And then finally, our loop around the league.

00:07:22
Let's do our game capture possession by possession.
00:07:26
And I'm warning you up front, this is not going.
00:07:28
To be fun but.
00:07:30
Gotta stick with it every podcast.
00:07:33
This is what we do.
00:07:34
Rams get the ball 1st, and on that opening possession, Stafford is sacked.
00:07:38
Fumbles and the Cowboys pick it up, scoop it up, score the touchdown, miss the extra point.
00:07:46
I have a quick 6 nothing lead.
00:07:48
Now it's never good.
00:07:49
To give up six points like that.
00:07:51
But when you're playing a team that has an extremely strong defense and your offense has been struggling, not a good sign.
00:07:59
Oh, the good thing is Rams get the ball right back. They drive to the Cowboy 47 Robinson with a reception. Acres as a nice pick up. Higbee a first down catch.
00:08:09
But the Rams end up punting and it's blocked, and the Cowboys recover at the Rams 20.
00:08:15
The Rams defense does their job though. Three and half of the Cowboys, but they kicked a field goal and they're up 1918 thanks to two Rams mistakes by their offense and special teams. Burns third possession. Stafford hooks up with two, two at, well, 22. First NFL catch.
00:08:35
The first catch of his career 54 yards. Beautiful catch.
00:08:39
Rams settle for the field goal.
00:08:41
It's nine to three Cowboys ensuing possession.
00:08:44
Aaron Donald gets the sack.
00:08:46
Cooper Rush actually fumbles but falls right back up to him.
00:08:50
Cowboys punt Brandon Powell is called for blocking after making a fair catch signal, so the Rams start at the five.
00:08:59
Anchor says 3 carries gets the ball out to.
00:09:02
The 28 but then.
00:09:03
After two tackles for losses.
00:09:06
Ben Skowronek picks up 13 yards on 3rd and 17, and the Rams punt were into the second quarter.
00:09:13
Now Cowboys drive ends when Michael Gallup drops a pass is wide open in the left flat.
00:09:19
Cannot bring it in.
00:09:21
Cowboys punt still 9 to 3.
00:09:23
The Rams starting at the Round 17 and on 3rd and two.
00:09:27
Cooper Kupp a catch and run for 75 yards and the Rams have the lead 8:50 I'm starting to feel a little bit better about this game, but on the next possession, after one first down, Tony Pollard scampers for 57 yards.
00:09:43
Right through the middle, the Rams defense beautiful run and the Cowboys have the lead.
00:09:48
As it turned out, the lead for good.
00:09:50
They're up 16 to 10 and just like last week against the Niners, the Rams defense playing pretty darn good. But last week it was a 32 yard TD run to Jeff Wilson. This time it's.
00:10:03
Tony Pollard for 57 yards, Rams go three and out. Dallas gets the ball back after one. First down 80 picks up another sack and the Cowboys punt. Rams get the bot to 20 and from their 24 they run a fake punt.
00:10:20
Riley Dixon hits Jake Gervase for the first down and the Rams drive us alive. They actually get into cowboy territory as time is running out and they forgo the 61 yard field goal and I think McVay was having second thoughts about this.
00:10:36
You know you're down 16 to 10. You try a 61 yard field goal against a great defense.
00:10:42
What are your few chances at points? Very possibly, but then you also risk the chance of the Cowboys being set up in great field position and opening it up to A2 score game. So not sure how I feel about it, but the Rams punt and Cowboys run out the clock.
00:11:02
We go to the half. second-half Cowboys get the ball first, Cowboys overcome 1/3 and 15 after a Ramsey sack.
00:11:10
Gallup makes an incredible catch on the sideline, but then Wagner knocks down a third down pass deep in Rams territory and the Cowboys settle for a 41 yard field goal.
00:11:20
They go up 19 to 10, and most of these insulin trans possessions do not produce much Stafford hits.
00:11:27
Higbee for first down catches twice.
00:11:30
But the possession stalls.
00:11:31
They do what they always do.
00:11:33
After a timeout, they throw a screen.
00:11:35
This one to cop amounts to nothing.
00:11:38
And then Stafford is sacked and the Rams punt.
00:11:41
Nice punt goes out of bounds at the five.
00:11:43
From there, the Cowboys look like they have a first down, but a holding call sets up a third and eight.
00:11:48
And Grant Haley makes a nice tackle on the flat Cowboys punt, a short punt and a nice return. The Rams are set up at the 29, a chance to cut this lead in half, but they go backwards.
00:12:00
A holding call, a trick play that doesn't work, could perk up trying to hit Cam Akers up the right sideline. They settle for a 51 yard.
00:12:09
Field goal and it bleeds right.
00:12:12
And the Rams come away with no points after being set up at the Cowboys 29 Cowboys next possession of three and out after Grant Haley strips the ball on the sideline stripping CD.
00:12:24
Lamb would have been a first down catch.
00:12:27
Rams get the ball back third and three.
00:12:29
Stafford has a wide open Ben Skowronek but.
00:12:32
He's been hurried all day long.
00:12:35
He wasn't hurried on this one, but he got rid of the ball too quickly and Mrs Scarborough Nick would have been a first down.
00:12:40
Down Cowboys get the ball to runs 48 and we're able to move into field goal position to make it 22 to 10.
00:12:49
There are a couple more possessions after that, a few more sacks.
00:12:52
I think of Stafford.
00:12:54
An interception mixed in there somewhere.
00:12:56
I don't want to talk about it anymore.
00:12:58
Game was pretty much over.
00:13:00
Cowboys come away with a 22 to 10 win.
00:13:04
But bought his back, baby, we're back to seeing Stafford slinging beautiful balls all over the field to Cooper Kupp.
00:13:11
And hey, if you're heading out to watch a game with a group of friends maybe hitting your favorite sports bar, why not?
00:13:19
Look your best.
00:13:20
You need to get your hands on Manscaped Lawnmower 4.0 trimmer which is included in their best valued bundle yet ever manscaped pocket.
00:13:31
It's, which also, by the way, includes the weed Wacker, which I talked about last month.
00:13:37
And you know, a lot of people don't realize this about the lawn mower.
00:13:39
It is great for facial trimming.
00:13:42
Your beard, your mustache, your neck.
00:13:44
That's how I use it and it's waterproof.
00:13:46
You just jump into the shower, no mess to clean up in your bathroom or on your vanity.
00:13:52
And off you go, just holding the lawnmower in your hand.
00:13:55
You can tell the quality and it does an excellent job.
00:13:59
Telling you I use it on a regular basis now, so the pocket rocket package includes, among other things, the lawn mower and the weed whacker.
00:14:08

00:14:40
Let's get back to this Ram cowboy game.
00:14:42
Some additional notes.
00:14:43
How about my fearsome 4 big plays of the game?
00:14:46
Well, I'm going to give you some honorable mentions, ones that could have been big plays that were significant.
00:14:54
Or at least.
00:14:54
Could have been, but don't make it into my top.
00:14:57
Or when is that penalty on PAL Ram struggling to get anything going?
00:15:03
They're down nine to three and he takes that penalty on the pun.
00:15:07
And sets the Rams up at the five that could have been big.
00:15:12
Didn't think it really mattered in the long run, though, but that's a long way to drive against a defense like this.
00:15:18
That dropped by gallop on 3rd and two.
00:15:21
That was a big play, that fake punt.
00:15:25
That was nice, big play at the time.
00:15:28
Didn't really amount to much though in that Gallup catch on 3rd and 15 to keep their drive alive.
00:15:35
The top four are pretty big, though.
00:15:37
Actually, I'm going to go with the top five.
00:15:39
All of them.
00:15:41
Resulted in points, or indirectly so anyways.
00:15:45
The first, of course, is the scoop and score, the Sack of Stafford and the touchdown.
00:15:51
Cowboys up six to nothing.
00:15:53
The second big play, the blocked punt by the Cowboys lead directly to three points.
00:15:59
Defense stepped up and limited to that. Could have been worse. Ramps down 9 to nothing. The pass from Stafford to Atwell is my first in big play #354 yard gain.
00:16:12
Rams got on the board after that.
00:16:14
Nine to three is the score at the time.
00:16:18
In cups, 75 yarder.
00:16:21
How about that for a big play? Put the Rams up. At the time, that's actually 4, but I'm going to go with my fearsome big play #5. Pollard's long TD run, 57 yards.
00:16:34
To give the Cowboys the lead for good.
00:16:36
So there's my first some five big plays.
00:16:38
If I had to take one out of there, it probably would have been at wells catch.
00:16:43
Only resulted in three points, but I think it's a pretty solid, fearsome 5.
00:16:47
Big plays of the.
00:16:48
Game the scoop and score, the blocked punt at Wells, 54 yard catch, cuts, 75 yard catch and run and Pollard's 57 yard touchdown run. Pollards play might have been the biggest and maybe that scoop and score.
00:17:04
But Rams had the lead 8:50 and then Pollard drops for 57 yards. That was pretty crushing.
00:17:13
Stafford was pressured on 45% of his dropbacks. That's a season high and second only then the MIC based effort ERETA that week.
00:17:23
18 lost the 49ers in 2021, McVay backing up his quarterback, saying I think the guy needs help. Yeah, it's pretty obvious.
00:17:32
He dies offensive line.
00:17:33
Help the running game needs up there.
00:17:36
They need help across the board.
00:17:38
Stafford is not really playing that badly given the situation he's in.
00:17:43
I I don't know what we can expect of him with the lack of protection he's getting and the absence of a run game kind of putting it all on his shoulders and he doesn't have.
00:17:54
The wideouts, the receivers to get it done in A1 dimensional offense like that.
00:18:01
Case in point in the first half.
00:18:04
It is pressured 9 times.
00:18:06
36% of his dropbacks. He went one for eight for six yards in a sack on those plates when he wasn't pressured.
00:18:13
12 of 16 for 193 yards and a touchdown player props who deserves game balls well no one. I'm at Cooper Kupp maybe 2/2 at well maybe we usually just.
00:18:27
By default, give Cooper Cup a game ball.
00:18:29
I think he deserves 1 here, maybe due to at, well, one catch up.
00:18:34
That's not enough for a game ball.
00:18:35
Maybe we give him a slap on the back for his first NFL catch.
00:18:39
Grant Haley continues to play well, I think.
00:18:42
Aaron Donald, of course.
00:18:44
I guess we gave Aaron Donald came ball.
00:18:46
Other than that, sorry, Brandon Powell continues to produce.
00:18:50
He had that one bonehead play on the proper turn, but I have a feeling Brandon Powell could handle himself in an alley pretty well.
00:18:57
I seem super tough.
00:18:59
Love the way he plays and that punt return gave the Rams life.
00:19:04
Rest of the team did not come through for us though as far as the coaches corner and nothing that stands out during the game other than possibly maybe we should have tried that field goal at the end of the.
00:19:16
Half kind of flip a coin on that one.
00:19:18
Not sure how I feel about it.
00:19:20
The way the game was going, I probably would have tried it.
00:19:23
Of course, gay ended up missing a shorter kick later on, so maybe it was the right decision.
00:19:29
Not too much to mention on the reffing, I will say as far as the announcing crew, Greg Olsen is the best.
00:19:36
The guy is awesome, very balanced, very fair, very real.
00:19:41
Gives really good insight to the game, complementary and otherwise.
00:19:46
He is a great color commentator.
00:19:49
If we could get him teamed up with Gus Johnson, I would be a happy camper injuring wise.
00:19:55
We'll have to see what's going on with David Edwards.
00:19:57
Aaron Donald and Cooper Kupp both left the game but came back.
00:20:00
They appear to be OK.
00:20:02
We can only hope so.
00:20:04
Next up, the Carolina Panthers.
00:20:06
And that team is in real disarray.
00:20:09
Baker Mayfield apparently had a horrible game.
00:20:13
Sam Darnold might not be ready so he may not be able to play or remember Sam Darnold and The Jets beat the Rams and so Phi, so I think I'd rather see Baker or they go to PJ Walker who is more of a running threat that the Rams could deal with that pretty well they have in the past after dealing with.
00:20:33
Allen Mariota and Kyler Murray.
00:20:37
PJ Walker.
00:20:38
Might be a.
00:20:39
Welcome sight now, final words on this game.
00:20:43
Rams are two and three if they can come out of this Panther game.
00:20:47
Three and three, given all of the adversity, all of the injuries go into their bye week, get healthy.
00:20:55
We might end up feeling pretty good about where we are after this next Rams Niners game.
00:21:00
We can only hope we'll close things out in a minute with our loop around the league.
00:21:05
Keep the faith, RAM fans.
00:21:08
Get to three and three next week.
00:21:10
Take a week off.
00:21:11
Get healthy.
00:21:12
Bring back some guys, bring back some healthy bodies.
00:21:16
Van Jefferson, Troy Hill, maybe.
00:21:19
Brian Allen, some really key guys that can help this team out.
00:21:24
And then come back to sofa and knock off the 49ers.
00:21:29
And all will be good in the Rams house.
00:21:41
Let's get into our loop around the league.
00:21:43
We'll start with that Thursday night game.
00:21:46
What a barnburner this was.
00:21:49
Denver loses to Indianapolis at home 12 to 9 in overtime.
00:21:56
And you know what?
00:21:57
The Broncos are making me look really smart.
00:22:00
I said from the get go, Russell Wilson is not the answer.
00:22:05
Any Ram fan probably saw this coming watching Russell Wilson at least twice a year against the Rams.
00:22:13
Just not as gifted at this point as a lot of people thought he was.
00:22:18
And Paul Hackett, is this an example of the Peter Principle getting promoted to your level of incompetence?
00:22:25
I'm sure he's a.
00:22:26
Great offensive mind, but not getting it done as a head coach in the NFL.
00:22:32
It'll probably last out the year, but I don't think this is going to end good.
00:22:36
And what to do with Russell Wilson if you're the Broncos?
00:22:40
How do Bronco fans feel about this team right now?
00:22:43
It can't be good.
00:22:46
And then Russell having a treatment on his right shoulder, his throwing shoulder after the game.
00:22:53
And on top of that, they lose one of their best offensive lineman to injury.
00:22:57
Broncos fading fast, Colts keeping their season alive again.
00:23:01
They really shouldn't have won.
00:23:03
And you know what?
00:23:04
I picked the Colts in this game and I didn't even know Jonathan Taylor wasn't playing.
00:23:10
Mike in Ogden, that's your job.
00:23:13
Let me know about these things.
00:23:14
I consider doubling back and taking the Broncos but couldn't do it.
00:23:20
Stuck with my original pick and it paid off.
00:23:22
And the NFL can't be happy with the way some of these games are going.
00:23:27
Teams finding it so difficult to make big plays downfield and to get into the end zone.
00:23:33
It's almost the equivalent of the shift in baseball taking some of the fun out of the game the way these teams are playing defense.
00:23:40
But it's working.
00:23:41
So what are you going to do?
00:23:43
In the early Sunday morning game in London, the Giants beat the Packers 27 to 22. You know, we are so programmed.
00:23:52
At least I am.
00:23:53
Packers versus giants.
00:23:55
It's a Packers win.
00:23:56
Packers up 20 to 10.
00:23:58
Yep, it's good to suffer with a win for the Packers.
00:24:02
A loss for the Giants we all saw.
00:24:04
This coming no surprise.
00:24:05
And then what is now?
00:24:07
The Giants kick some **** in the second-half. Saquon Barkley taken some direct snaps, Daniel Jones playing like a real warrior.
00:24:17
21 for 27 for just 217 yards, but super efficient. And did you hear that stat?
00:24:25
Rodgers throws a touchdown pass to Mercedes Lewis, the tight end out of UCLA, out of UCLA in two.
00:24:32
00:24:33
This guy is stuck around, hasn't he?
00:24:35
But the first time Rodgers has thrown a touchdown pass to a receiver drafted in the first round?
00:24:41
Tight end in this case.
00:24:42
But regardless, that's a pretty crazy.
00:24:46
But the Giants improved to four and one that the Packers dropped to three, and two Viking stands are elated.
00:24:53
And suddenly, the NFC East looking a lot tougher than the last couple years, that's for sure.
00:24:59
The Patriots beat the Lions.
00:25:02
29 to nothing the lions come into this is the highest scoring team in the league, and they get shut out by Bill Belichick and the Patriots and, yeah, Bill Belichick.
00:25:13
I'm Tonya, obviously.
00:25:15
He had a lot to do with this.
00:25:17
The Lions turned the ball over five times on downs.
00:25:21
Man, when we.
00:25:23
I'm all in on the lions and then stuff like this happens.
00:25:27
I think I'm done with them.
00:25:28
I've picked them to win every week this year and I have one correct pick.
00:25:35
And four, incorrect to show for it.
00:25:37
I think I'm done with alliance and the Vikings taking control of the NFC North.
00:25:42
They beat the Bears 29 to 22, Kirk Cousins 32 for 41 for 296 yards. Dalvin.
00:25:50
Took 94 yards on the ground with two touchdowns, Vikings four and one. They have the lead over the Packers in that division now.
00:25:59
Lions and bears fading fast.
00:26:01
It's a 2 horse race from here on in.
00:26:04
I think it's early, but I don't see the bears or lions making a run at this anymore.
00:26:09
The chargers.
00:26:10
Knock off the Browns in Cleveland 30 to 28. Browns had a shot at taking the lead with a touchdown or even a field goal, and Jacoby Brissett throws a bad interception in the red zone and the Chargers escape the Cleveland Browns. Our Snakebitten team of.
00:26:28
The year, I mean, they got this one, and they also had that horrible loss to The Jets and last week losing that heartbreaker to the Falcons as well.
00:26:38
Big win for the charges. Though they improved to three and two, the Bills thrashed the Steelers 38 to 3.
00:26:45
Not surprised by the outcome, perhaps the score.
00:26:48
Though of course we were surprised at the score of the Rams bills game, so maybe we should get used to this at least once in a while.
00:26:56
The Bills just overwhelming an opponent.
00:26:58
Josh Allen throws for 424 yards in four TDs, and the Bucs beat the Falcons 21 to 15.
00:27:07
And they were helped out by the rest a little bit.
00:27:09
There was a really bad roughing the passer call against the Falcons on, you guessed it, Tom Brady.
00:27:16
Tom Brady.
00:27:18
This guy gets these calls.
00:27:20
Over and over and over again you go look at it and.
00:27:23
It's a play.
00:27:24
That you see in virtually every game.
00:27:26
Actually, I saw it in the RAM niner game.
00:27:28
Joey Bosa taken down Matthew Stafford and kind of rolling and spinning and throwing him down.
00:27:33
We've seen Aaron Donald do this a number of times.
00:27:36
It's basically just a tackle where your momentum.
00:27:40
Carries you around the quarterback and you kind of throw him to the ground, but but not in a way that warrants a personal foul that's for sure, are unnecessary roughness.
00:27:48
But Tom Brady?
00:27:50
He gets the call, and the Bucs are able to run out the clock and improved to three, and two Falcons fall to two and three.
00:27:57
And how about Damian pierced, the rookie running back?
00:28:00
For the Texans, he puts on a show leading them to a win over the Jags.
00:28:06
The team that I've been hyping up going to have to retract for a couple weeks on that at least.
00:28:12
Texans 13 Jags, 6 peers, 99 yards on the ground in one TD and he had some really entertaining runs.
00:28:20
This guy is going to be one of the best in the league, if he isn't already.
00:28:24
So the Jags slip to two and three.
00:28:27
The Texans get their first win.
00:28:29
One win, 3 losses in a tie.
00:28:32
And the Saints take care of the Seahawks 39 to 32. This Seahawk defense starting to look like the mess it was last year in the year before between Hill and Kamara, the Saints ran for 215 yards, Hill for three touchdowns, while I thought the Dolphins would struggle without.
00:28:52
Sure, but I didn't see this coming.
00:28:55
They lose to The Jets 40 to 17 now.
00:28:57
Granted, their backup also left the game.
00:29:00
Teddy Bridgewater hit on a blitz by the rookie cornerback SOS Gardner, but it was all jets as they rushed for five touchdowns and broke a 12 game losing streak against AFC opponents.
00:29:13
And how about this? A coming out party for the rookie running back Breece Hall. Everybody was pumped about him pre draft and he showed up today 18 rushes for 97 yards in a TD, he added.
00:29:28
Another 100 yards receiving on 2 catches and the Titans escaped with a 2117 win over the commanders. Derrick Henry ran for two touchdowns and poor Carson Wentz.
00:29:42
They're at the one yard line trying to win this game and he throws an interception.
00:29:48
Commanders lose again.
00:29:50
I think they and the Panthers at this point, are battling.
00:29:54
Out for #32 in my power rankings afternoon games, the Cardinals made a game of it had a chance to kick the game tying field goal, but they missed the 43 yarder and the Eagles escaped with the win. Eagles remain undefeated 5 and out awaiting the Dallas Cowboys for an NFC.
00:30:14
East showdown in Philadelphia next week?
00:30:17
That should be a fun game, and the Niners rolled over the Panthers.
00:30:22
37 to 15 kind of saw that one common costly win for the 49ers, though cornerback in manual mode.
00:30:30
Looks like he might be out for the year with a torn ACL.
00:30:33
Defensive back Jimmy Ward broke his hand, Nick Bosa reporting a tight groin, and kicker Robbie Good has a knee contusion.
00:30:43
Those last two probably not as serious, but 49ers getting banged up. But they're happy as a lark right now, sitting atop the.
00:30:51
And it's the West at the moment with a three and two record. They got some tough games coming up though, and the Ravens break A5 game home losing streak.
00:31:00
Justin Tucker kicking the game winner as time ran out 1917 Ravens over the Bengals. The Bengals had driven the field to take the lead.
00:31:10
Just left a little too much time on the clock for the Ravens.
00:31:13
They drove down and kicked the game winner and Monday night of course, the Raiders and the Chiefs.
00:31:20
That should be a fun one.
00:31:22
